Lanise Herman-Thomas to Receive Humanitarian Award at First Inaugural Image Entertainment Distinction Awards 2013

NEW YORK, NY, May 30, 2013 (Press-News.org) On Thursday June 27th for the First Inaugural Image Entertainment Distinction Awards 2013 presented by Madonna Williams for Glamsense Divas; co-founder of People's Resource and Development Association (P.R.a.D.A) will receive the Humanitarian Award for her role in the community under P.R.a.D.A and their efforts to help the youth. P.R.a.D.A a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization established in 2007 strives to provide assistance to low income families. The organization runs three successful youth development programs at their Bronx headquarters with the goals of helping their bright eyed members recognize their talents at an early age while providing many other resources.

P.R.a.D.A's thrives on the educational and developmental needs of children and adolescents, their Anti-Teen Gun Violence, Fashion Academy & Youth Entrepreneur Success Academy garners close to 100 members from nearly all five boroughs which operate as After-School and Summer programs. Their annual Shop Indie 4 A Cause Fashion & Trunk Show held in September and February during New York Fashion Week, is one of their most successful events created to raise funds and awareness on the organization; receiving support from Angela Yee, Lola Monroe, Mpire Records and more!

Lanise also created 'The Original Housewife Collection' est 2011. which is an apparel line of hats and t-shirts consisting of the five boroughs and several states as a fundraising tool with 100% of all sales benefiting their programs. "I am honored and humbled for this award and recognition for my efforts and those of my partners in P.R.a.D.A in our mission to impress our youth through building a positive foundation for them, while instilling that no dream is unattainable".
