Mr. Silvey joins the Patterson Law Firm with a unique combination of legal and business experience—concentrating his legal practice in business, risk management, insurance, commercial, property, contract and civil litigation. In the past Mr. Silvey established a law firm to provide legal services to an investment and financial services firm; served as Interim President/CEO of a software company; and as CEO and Co-Founder of a Professional Development, Executive and Personal Coaching company where he helped develop and taught best practices on a national basis to independent financial and insurance advisors. He was also Co-Founder of a national law firm where he was the first firm Manager, first Executive Director and a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Silvey has represented individuals, entrepreneurs, professionals, businesses and insurance carriers ranging in size from sole proprietors to Fortune 500 companies. Significant recent case experience includes: successfully assisting a community bank financial institution with recovery and liquidation of a multi-million dollar credit facility; assisting a community bank financial conglomerate with the investigation of a questionably obtained multi-million commercial credit facility; representing a company in a damages case involving property leases and lease options in four different states; successfully recovering embezzled funds for a family owned business; and entry of a $1.3 million judgment in improperly secured private investment financing.

Mr. Silvey is listed in the Millennium Edition of Who's Who in Executives and Business. He is a Fellow of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance and a past member of TEC/Vistage, the world's largest member organization of CEOs. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board and a member of the Executive Board of the Des Plaines Valley Senior Center. Steve is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, and United States District Courts in Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, and Wisconsin.
