ITHACA, NY, June 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) GiveGab, the social network for volunteers, announces it will exhibit at Points of Light's Annual Conference on Volunteering and Service from June 19-21, 2013 in Washington, D.C. The Conference is the world's largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, corporate and government sectors. Visitors to the GiveGab booth can demo the site, and learn how it's designed to make volunteering and volunteer management easier.
The process of matching volunteers with opportunities, and then administratively tracking their volunteer hours is often very difficult. The software was developed to make the process of volunteering fun and simple, while helping to make volunteer management and reporting more streamlined. GiveGab is utilized by nonprofits, schools and businesses that encourage people to volunteer in their communities.
"We are excited to participate in the Conference and spread the word about our mission: More, happy volunteers," said Charlie Mulligan, co-founder and CEO of GiveGab. "We're eager to show attendees how we're helping people find volunteer opportunities they're passionate about, in a fun and engaging environment."
Currently, Basic services offered on GiveGab.com are free and include creating a nonprofit, school or business profile, creating a personal volunteer profile, developing and promoting volunteer events, logging hours, compiling a volunteer resume and reporting of aggregate volunteer hours.
Premium services, scheduled to launch in the summer of 2013 along with a new GiveGab mobile app, will include:
•Enhanced reporting features, including the ability to "slice and dice" data

2013-06-03
Train Aid will now incorporate the anaphylactic shock course into the syllabus for its 12 hour paediatric first aid training. This appears to be a brand new idea that will be initially piloted on the company's flagship London open course, which is held in Selhurst (South London). Saturday July13th has been chosen as the date for when it will be first incorporated. Moving this short course into the syllabus appears to make sense, but it still goes against the bigger companies, who often like to charge candidates more for the training.
