Nanny Magazine Announces Kickstarter Campaign

Nanny Magazine attempts to raise $8,500 through crowdfunding source, Kickstarter, for their January 2014 launch.

CHICAGO, IL, June 04, 2013 (Press-News.org) Nanny Magazine announces a Kickstarter campaign, which launches today and ends at midnight Eastern on June 30. The magazine hopes to earn the $8,500 needed to launch its first issue. Incentives for pledges include free advertising space, exclusive launch party tickets, subscriptions and more.

Nannies and other childcare professionals across the country are gearing up for the January 2014 launch of Nanny Magazine. The publication will be the first of its kind in the United States.

Chelle Cochran of Frederick MD, a nanny for three children, is excited for Nanny Magazine. "Nanny Magazine fills a specific void untouched by parenting magazines. I am thrilled that it will also provide nannies with their own sense of community," she says.

Jaynie Patricia Fawley of Kalamazoo MI is just as excited. "There has been a need for a nanny publication for decades, and finally we nannies have a publication to call our very own! I have been waiting for something like this for a long, long time."

The magazine will launch its first issue, available in print and electronic formats, in January 2014. Articles are currently available on the magazine's website, http://www.nannymag.com. Nanny Magazine will continue to publish articles online twice weekly.

Nanny Magazine is owned by editors Jennifer Kuhn of the Washington DC metro area, a graduate of The George Washington University's Publishing program and of Eastern Connecticut State University, and Whitney Tang of Chicago, a graduate of Loyola University. Combined, they have over ten years' professional nannying experience.
