DALLAS, TX, June 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Las Vegas residents Christina Kwan and Kimbo Ung, cashers in the World Series of Poker (WSOP), are featured players in Project All In, an interactive poker strategy broadcast on Live Stream that is produced by Kwan International and JT Media and is set at Kwan International headquarters at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). With the start of the WSOP on May 29th at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the world's largest gaming event will converge with one of the world's largest music experiences when the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) takes place at the NASCAR track at the LVMS from dusk until dawn from June 21-23. As all are invited, Project All In is bridging participants of two massive events under one roof in its broadcast during EDC weekend which sees over 130,000 attendees each night.
Kwan International owner, Christina Kwan, a former U.S. National and World Amateur Champion in boxing, is the first boxing titlist to cash in a WSOP event. Her mentor, Kimbo Ung, is a Heartland Poker Tour Event Champion who has multiple WSOP cashes on his resume with the most recent occurring this past June 1st after taking a one-and-a-half year hiatus from poker to complete a masterful renovation and remodel of his home. On finding success so quickly after returning to poker, Ung said, "It's great to be back playing poker again. I'm enjoying early success at the WSOP this year and I'm especially excited to be a part of Project All In because it's giving every day players the opportunity to develop strategies that they can use at the tables."
Broadcast in one of the most unique settings at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Project All In is in part moderated by Pete Allman and other guest poker players with the feature table is set inside Kwan's boxing ring as poker tables and the 1,300 HP drag boat she built and races serve as the backdrop. Kwan said, "While Kwan International is a global marketing and media company, the office is the ultimate intersection of industries."
Bringing multiple markets together through a common denominator, poker, a world game with over 25 million Google inquiries monthly, the Project All In broadcast simulates poker tournament play as cards are dealt and hands are played. At the hand's conclusion, discussion on the play ensues. Project All In is a one-of-a-kind interactive poker strategy broadcast where the worldwide audience can interact live with their opinions and suggestions.
Kwan concluded, "Serving an audience and demographic that has no defined boundaries; Project All In is for the masses. From the young to the old, the wealthy to the destitute, the prominent to the inconspicuous, individuals from all races and cultures convene at the poker table, a socially equalizing intersection and moment in each of their lives where decisions will be made. One hand. Two cards. Three Words. I'm All In."

Enhancer RNAs alter gene expression
2013-06-04
In a pair of distinct but complementary papers, researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and colleagues illuminate the functional importance of a relatively new class of RNA molecules. The work, published online this week in the journal Nature, suggests modulation of "enhancer-directed RNAs" or "eRNAs" could provide a new way to alter gene expression in living cells, perhaps affecting the development or pathology of many diseases.
Enhancers are sequences in the genome that act to boost or "enhance" the activity or expression of nearby ...
Common gene known to cause inherited autism now linked to specific behaviors
2013-06-04
The genetic malady known as Fragile X syndrome is the most common cause of inherited autism and intellectual disability. Brain scientists know the gene defect that causes the syndrome and understand the damage it does in misshaping the brain's synapses — the connections between neurons. But how this abnormal shaping of synapses translates into abnormal behavior is unclear.
Now, researchers at UCLA believe they know. Using a mouse model of Fragile X syndrome (FXS), they recorded the activity of networks of neurons in a living mouse brain while the animal was awake and ...
