"Nichole is a very talented young attorney and we are very pleased to have her join our firm," says Tom Brandt, a director and head of the firm's Local Government Defense Law and Employment Law practice groups.
In addition to local government law, Ms. Plagens' practice focuses on school law, labor and employment law, and litigation.
A former intern with the U.S. Attorney's office and U.S. District Court Judges Jorge Solis and Reed O'Connor, Ms. Plagens earned her law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2012. She was a member of the SMU Law Review, served on the Board of Advocates and frequently participated in trial advocacy competitions. She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in political philosophy from the University of Dallas in 2007. She studied international human rights as part of the 2007 Oxford University Summer Program at University College, Oxford, England.
