LateRooms.com - Red Bull X Fighters Heading to Rome

The finale of the 2010 Red Bull X-Fighters world tour is set to take place in Rome on October 2nd.

2010-08-25
ROME, ITALY, August 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) Holidaymakers with a love for high-octane thrills may like to see the Red Bull X-Fighters in Rome later this year.

The international freestyle motocross event will arrive in the Eternal City for the first time ever on October 2nd, with the organisers promising to deliver an unforgettable show.

It was recently announced that the venue for the competition, which represents the season finale for this year's Red Bull X-Fighters world tour, has been changed to the Stadio Flaminio.

This switch was due to a delay in gaining permission to use the Stadio Di Marmi, but means people using 5 star hotels in Rome will now be able to enjoy the event at another of the city's famous arenas.

Situated on the Via Flaminia, the Stadio Flaminio was used to host the football events at the 1960 Olympic Games.

Some of the top motocross riders competing in the X-Fighters contest include Norway's Andre Villa, New Zealander Levi Sherwood and Robbie Maddison of Australia.

In a special boost for Italian fans, local freestyle motocross hero Alvaro Dal Farra is set to be one of the judges for the Rome event.

"One thing is for sure: it is going to be a great show with more than a few stunning surprises," the X-Fighters website states.

Tickets can be purchased online and are priced between EUR35 and EUR50 (GBP28.60 and GBP40.80).

For more information on this event, visit the Red Bull X-Fighters website.
