ST. PETERSBURG, FL, November 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) Dr. Jeremy Benedetti (www.benedettibreastenhancement.com) is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast augmentation for Tampa, Florida. He sees patients from all over the country and abroad, in large part because of his "fly in for surgery" program. For women wanting to travel to his practice for breast enhancement, Dr. Benedetti offers the convenience of virtual consultations to allow evaluation before committing to travel and the procedure. This travel program helps accommodate patients who might otherwise not be able to see Dr. Benedetti.
"I wanted to develop a program that would make it safe and easy for people to come in and see me, no matter where they live," says Dr. Benedetti. "Many people have the impression that traveling for a procedure is too complex and hard to coordinate, but our program takes out a lot of the hassle and guesswork. We've set up a Five Step Travel Program, which consists of consultation, scheduling, surgery, recovery, and virtual or in person follow-up appointments. The travel program works very well and is a huge help no matter if a person is considering a face lift, liposuction or breast enhancement surgery in Tampa."
To begin the process, the patient has the option to either fly in for a consultation or have a virtual consultation. While an in-person consultation is the preferred method, if a patient selects a virtual consult, she will send Dr. Benedetti photographs, and based on the photo review, Dr. Benedetti will schedule a telephone consultation. At this time surgical goals are discussed, and the patient may need to receive an evaluation by their local, primary doctor if the patient has existing medical conditions per Dr. Benedetti's request.
"Once the consultation phase is completed, the surgery is scheduled," Dr. Benedetti explains. "After that, we schedule a pre-operative date, which is usually 1 to 2 days before the procedure. We then will mail patients a pre-operative packet which includes information as well as informed consents. "
Dr. Benedetti's Patient Care Coordinator and RN, Christy, or his Business Coordinator, Debbie, will then assist the patient in finding local hotel accommodations to fit your needs. Benedetti Cosmetic Surgery has special rates at several convenient hotels including Marriott, Hilton, and Sand Pearl Resort. Each hotel offers a unique, comforting experience for the patient and their travel companion. It is recommended that the patient have a companion who can aid in the overall process throughout their stay in the Tampa Bay area. If this is not feasible, our staff will assist the patient in selecting from one of our nursing or care giving services to assist in their recovery.
At the pre-operative appointment, Dr. Benedetti and his staff will spend a significant amount of time getting to know the patient on a personal level, reviewing necessary paperwork, discussing any questions and finalizing their surgical plan.
Once everything is communicated and reviewed between the patient and Dr. Benedetti and his staff, the surgery is performed at one of two fully accredited surgery centers under the care of board-certified anesthesia doctors. If patients need to travel to the surgery center, a driver may be arranged. Depending on the type of surgery, the patient may remain in the area for 1 to 2 weeks, when early post-operative care takes place. While in the Tampa Bay Area, you will be pampered by Dr. Benedetti's Certified Medical Aesthetician, Dawn, during your complimentary skin care consultation, VISIA Complexion Analysis and facial procedure.
"One of the big draws of traveling to my practice is to have the care and skill of a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast enhancement surgery," notes Dr. Benedetti. "And of course, the area is a beautiful place to recover in style. Women have traveled to my office for tummy tucks, liposuction, face lifts, and breast implants in Tampa, just to name a few of the procedures that make my practice worth the trip."
Following recovery, patients will have virtual follow-up appointments over the phone with Dr. Benedetti to ensure the progress of their recovery. They may also choose to email post-operative photographs to be reviewed. Additionally, patients sometimes choose to return in person for long term followup . Dr. Benedetti is dedicated to long term quality results with the necessary followup to assure that occurs. Dr. Benedetti and the staff at Benedetti Cosmetic Surgery enjoy serving patients from all over the world, and expect to see many more patients from outside the area, particularly as the upcoming winter tourist season begins.
