San Francisco Salt Company Unveils Second Manufacturing Facility Dedicated To Gourmet Salts

SFSC announces new facility to accommodate their expanding food-grade salt division as the demand for natural gourmet sea salts continues to grow.

2013-06-08
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Due to the increasing demand for quality food-grade sea salts the San Francisco Salt Company, a leading salt manufacturer specializing in bath salts and premium food salts, has opened a second facility to accommodate storing and fulfilling orders for their growing gourmet salt division.

"I started the company in 2002, with a clear mission," explains company Founder Lee Williamson, "To relax the world one bath at a time. Originally, our main focus was manufacturing sea salt based, premium bath salts. Natural sea salts carry amazing benefits; bathing with them can relax sore muscles, relieve aches and pains, treat psoriasis, detoxify your skin, even elevate your mood and decrease stress. Many of these natural sea salts also provide incredible benefits when used in food and taste incredible compared to standard table salts. So, due to the increasing requests of these salts from the gourmet industry and food enthusiasts alike, we have been expanding our line of gourmet salts over the last couple of years."

Unfortunately, most table salts on the market today are stripped of their natural minerals and nutrients. However, natural sea salts contain trace minerals that are essential for the body's functioning. The San Francisco Salt Company sells natural sea salts harvested around the world, such as Himalayan Salt, Fleur de Sel and Hawaiian Sea Salt, among others from various exotic locations where salts are harvested. All their raw salts offered are 100% natural and do not contain any artificial additives.

When used in cooking, these mineral-rich natural sea salts are a healthier alternative to regular table salt. Williamson's decision to expand his company's product line to include gourmet salt ( http://www.sfbsc.com/gourmet-salt ) seemed only natural, given he and his staff's expertise in the salt industry. He notes, "There is a real shortage of high quality food-grade salts out there, they're not easy accessible to the general public. Since we specialize in high quality sea salts for bathing, many of which happen to be food grade, it made sense for us to present customers with a new way to enjoy the benefits of natural sea salt."

The San Francisco Salt Company now operates out of two separate facilities. The original bath salt lines ( http://www.sfbsc.com/bath-salts ) are manufactured and shipped at their Union City facility. Their new Hayward facility is dedicated to the manufacturing and shipping of gourmet salts. They currently offer eleven types of gourmet salts and are continuing to expand their selection based on popular demand.

For more information about their gourmet salt products, the benefits of natural sea salt, and for a full range of bath products, visit San Francisco Salt Company online at: http://www.sfbsc.com, or call them at 1-800-480-4540.
