Barrie Dentist Donates $2,200 to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie

Dr Elston Wong Dentistry donates $2,200 to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario.

2013-06-08
BARRIE, ON, CANADA, June 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Barrie dental office of Dr. Elston Wong has donated $2,200 to the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) in support of the dental programme. The money was raised over the course of the last year with proceeds of home teeth whitening kits going to support this charitable cause. The donations will go to support the dental programme at RVH, which is used to see very young children, special needs patients, patients with major medical compromise, and patients who require complex oral and facial surgery.

The dental sub-department of RVH is comprised of a small group of surgeons that offer a very important dental service to the wider local community. The programme treats patients under general anesthesia that could not be safely treated in a community setting. If the RVH programme did not exist, these patients would have to be referred to Toronto.

Dr. Elston Wong states: "It is great that RVH has such a programme, and it is important that it continues to operate. We would like to publicly thank all of our patients who helped us in supporting this cause by paying for their home whitening kits and allowing us to donate the proceeds to this effort." Dr. Elston Wong's dentistry office plans to continue to raise funds through its home whitening kits for the foreseeable future. If you would like to donate directly to the dental programme at RVH, please visit http://www.rvh.on.ca/.

Dr Elston Wong and his staff are a team of committed people who work together to better the community and their teeth. Dentistry is a team effort, and Dr. Elston Wong is fortunate to have a group of dedicated professional staff that is highly trained to meet the needs of patients in the community. Donating to RVH is one way Dr. Elston Wong's dentistry team gives back. They are looking to help out the community in more ways than one!
