Raleigh-Durham IREM Chapter to Feature 2013 National President at June 19th General Member Meeting

Meeting to focus on key initiatives to keep members abreast of the latest trends, techniques and technology in real estate management

RALEIGH, NC, June 09, 2013

The Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter 105 of the Institute of Real Estate will host a visit from 2013 National IREM President, Beth Machen, CPM , on Wednesday, June 19th. Machen will address chapter members at a noon luncheon meeting to be held at Capital City Club, 410 S. Wilmington Street in Raleigh.

Machen's expertise is far-ranging and includes property takeovers, rehabs, stabilizing properties, analyzing property performance for prospective buyers, and serving on due diligence teams. She also specializes in disaster and emergency training, as well as serving as the LEED AP on several LEED projects.

She earned her Certified Property Manager (CPM ) from IREM in 1996 and has been active in the organization locally and nationally. A member of IREM's Western North Carolina Chapter No. 40, she served as president in 1999, was honored as the chapter's "CPM of the Year" in 2000, and has been a member of its Executive Board since 2000. At the national level, she has served as a regional vice president and a member of the Executive, Education, Membership, Minority Outreach and several other committees.

Machen's June 19th remarks to IREM membership will focus on key initiatives IREM is undertaking to keep members abreast of the latest trends, techniques and technology in real estate management. Current Chapter President, Gary Triplett, CPM , said that meetings featuring speakers from National leadership are amongst the most popular with their membership and are highly anticipated.
