FRANCESTOWN, NH, June 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) We can all think of times when a miscommunication has caused big problems. Even though we spend our entire lives communicating, we're often so busy getting our message out there that we don't find time to gauge whether it has been effective. That's why, during "Effective Communication Month," one Time Management Expert is striving to make sure that her actions and words communicate what she intends, as clearly, fully, and effectively as possible - and she is urging other entrepreneurs and business owners to do the same.
From June 1st to the 30th Paula Eder, The Time Finder Expert, will continue to take the time to focus on communicating effectively with her friends and family as well as her clients and business partners.
Eder, who owns and runs Finding Time in Francestown, New Hampshire, points to recent data that shows that, as more consumers tighten their budgets, quality customer service is what keeps a business viable and strong. She notes that "Effective Communication Month" serves as an excellent reminder and a catalyst for reviewing the way we communicate with customers. "With such strong competition in such difficult times it's vital that we make ourselves heard. A company that is considered more of a partner with their prospects, rather than a vendor, ends up becoming a valued asset to customers," she says.
Founded in 2006, Finding Time helps heart-based entrepreneurs and small business owners, from the inside out, to align their core values and energy with their time choices and behaviors. This helps them make more money, create more freedom, and find more time.
Eder is one of 50 solo professionals who have met the requirements of the only international post-graduate certification program for solo entrepreneurs to become a Solo-E.com certified expert.
"Communicating the wrong thing, communicating with the wrong person, communicating in the wrong way, or simply explaining things badly can be fatal for a small business. If you don't already have a plan or strategy for your communications I would strongly encourage you to use this month to create one. Try a few things out and put your plan into practice," says Terri Zwierzynski, CEO and founder of Solo-E.com. "Ask yourself how your current and prospective clients respond to your communications, how you would like them to respond, and what you need to do for them to respond in that way."
So what's Paula Eder doing to improve the effectiveness of her communication? She will be putting more energy into engaging with friends and followers in her social networks, sharing about heart-based time management via her blog and infographics, as well as on-line interactions. "The main thing is to build relationships, listen, share what you have to offer ... and most of all to have fun with it" says Eder. "Effective Communication Month is a great time to try new ideas and let your light shine!"
