Securus CEO Chris Newton to Participate in Key Discussion Panel at Connected World 2013 Conference Event

Panel to Discuss the Role of Data in a Connected Society on June 12

2013-06-12
CARY, NC, June 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Securus, Inc., maker of a groundbreaking line of personal and enterprise mobile safety and security products, announced today that company CEO Chris Newton will participate in a key panel at the Connected World 2013 Conference, which is currently underway at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara and Santa Clara Convention Center. The discussion panel - "What Is the Data Telling Us?" - takes place on Wednesday, June 12 beginning at 3:45 PM.

Moderated by Matt Hatton of Machina Research and including tech executives Scott Hublou (EcoFactor) and Joseph Mader (Guardity Technologies) in addition to Newton, the panel will explore the consequences of the M2M data explosion, examining its potential to enhance everyday life and serve as a catalyst for behavioral change.

"The panel at Connected World 2013 will explore some significant and profound issues," said Newton, who serves as President and CEO of Securus, Inc. "We're currently just scratching the surface of the M2M revolution, so the availability of information and interconnectedness of data networks will only keep growing. It's important to talk about the implications of that, and I am very much looking forward to discussing it with my distinguished co-panelists."

Connected World events bring thought leaders in the tech sector together to share new ideas and collaborate on vital issues. The Connected World 2013 Conference is the only event dedicated exclusively to M2M and connected devices. That makes Securus is a natural fit, given the company's focus on building a line of mobile security and safety devices that harness the power of M2M.
