EL CAJON, CA, November 03, 2010 (Press-News.org) ProSecure Inc. President/CEO Charles Barrague is one of 14 Dallas area business leaders to have successfully completed the Emerging 200 (e200) Initiative sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration Dallas-Fort Worth Office. The graduation ceremony will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm in the Flag Room of Dallas City Hall.
The program has provided ProSecure Inc., a leader in the Security and Safety Solutions industry, with the training, networking, and resources required for expanding operations and creating jobs in the inner-city. The SBA identified the business as a catalyst for economic growth in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
The e200 Initiative provided business owners, including Barrague, with the opportunity to take part in a free six-month educational program that included 100 hours of instruction in organization management, financial management, market development and strategic planning.
"The e200 program also matched business owners, like me, with mentors," said Barrague. He added, "I was exposed to new resources for financing and contracting which will help ProSecure Inc. expand our market share and hire new employees." Barrague also said, "Despite poor economic conditions before the completion of the e200 program, our business was required to hire more technicians to meet the demands of rapid growth."
Barrague is a member of the second e200 graduating class of Dallas. Last year, 14 Dallas area small business leaders took part in the MBA-style program. The SBA sponsored the e200 Initiative in 10 cities around the country in 2010. According to the SBA, more than half of the businesses that have participated in the e200 Initiative have seen an increase in revenue, and nearly two-thirds have created new jobs. Entrepreneurs who have completed the training have secured more than $9 million in new financing for their businesses and been awarded more than $1.3 million in government contracts.
