Fontaine's Announces Quality Antique Auction June 15 2013

Over 400 lots of quality antiques to be sold Saturday, June 15, 2013, by Fontaine's Auction Gallery, in the firm's showroom at 1485 West Housatonic Street in Pittsfield, Mass., starting at 11 a.m. (EDT).

PITTSFIELD, MA, June 14, 2013 (Press-News.org) Fontaine' s Quality Cataloged Antique Auction has been planned for Saturday, June 15, by Fontaine's Auction Gallery, in the firm's spacious showroom at 1485 West Housatonic Street in Pittsfield. Offered will be over 400 lots of antique furniture, vintage lighting, fine art, decorative accessories, clocks, estate jewelry, and more.

Folks unable to make it to the event may bid online through LiveAuctioneers.com (which they can access by logging on to the Fontaine's website, FontainesAuction.com). Phone and absentee bids will also be accepted. Previews will be held on; Friday, June 14, from 10-5; and Saturday, June 15, from 8 a.m. until the start of sale, at 11 a.m.

Featured lots in the upcoming auction:

5 Ct. Diamond Ring & Pendent Combination. One large center prong set round diamond, Calculated 5.05 carats with VS1 clarity and Fancy Yellow color; has a band of 16 round fine cut diamonds totaling .96 carats and a wavy border containing 38 top baguette diamonds totaling 4.05 carats. The diamonds are in a fancy platinum setting with clasp on the back which can either be fastened to one of the 2 custom fitted ring bands or hung from a chain. One band is platinum & 10% iridium, weighing 0.16 oz; the other band is 14k yellow gold weighing 0.25 oz, both are approximately size 5 or 6. The elegant chain is 14k white gold and measures 15 in. long. Estimated at $18,000 to $22000.00

R. J. Horner Mahogany Partner's Desk. Figural carved maiden busts on the corners with fruit around their waists, leaf carved legs and ball & claw feet; 4 drawers on the sides with a single drawer in the center and paneled sides. In good condition and original finish. 30 in. high x 60 in. wide x 40 in. deep. Estimated at $8,000 to $12000.00

Tiffany Aladdin Floor Lamp w/ Acorn Shade. 10 in. domical shade has a 6 row geometric brick background at the top and a single row at the lower rim, under a 1.5 in. acorn border; beautiful dichroic glass is yellow with amber mottling and when lit, a fiery orange in the acorns and golden in the background, signed Tiffany Studios, New York 1400. Bronze Aladdin floor base has 3 serpentine legs at the bottom with claw feet and mounted filigree, long ribbed stem with adjustment screw under a flanged collar and top resembling Aladdin style oil lamp with double branched swooping handle, long branching spout with hanging light socket, figural cherub and goose finial.
