This month, Grammy Nominated Singer and Songwriter Melky Jean held the 6th Annual Geminis Give Back Event for The Carma Foundation, a non profit organization dedicated to improving the health and welfare of the economically less fortunate women and children of Haiti. A who's who was in attendance as celebrities flooded the red carpet in support of this noteworthy cause. NYC's Hot 97.1 and VH1's Gossip Game's K. Foxx, Fuse TV's G Fella of the new show G-Thing, actor Mike Williams from HBO's The Wire and Board Walk Empire, and ThisIs50.com's Young Jack Thriller, are among the many faces to grace this year's red carpet. The event was held in one of NYC's eclectic districts at The Griffin. Sponsors such as Crocs, Fuse TV, Maker's Mark Whiskey, Bingham's Products, Pauly's Cigars, Botega Liquid Metals, and Le Pierre Caterers, were among the presence of the partygoers to partake in this much anticipated event. The luxurious night started off with walking orduerves prepared by renowned Celebrity Chef Lucman Pierre, infused with Haitian flavors followed by a dance performance, a musical selection by Two DJ's and One Violin, and honorariums presented to actor Mike Williams, director Jerry LaMothe, sports agent Rita Hayward, & artist G Fella by hosts K. Foxx & Young Jack Thriller on behalf of The Carma Foundation.The Carma Foundation, led by it's founder Melky Jean has made significant strides in not only the health and welfare of the women in children but also in rebuilding the beautiful country of Haiti, through the development of an orphanage, schools, & makeovers. To date, the Carma Foundation has donated shoes to over 40,000 people in need.
