Sandy-Impacted Restaurant Re-Opens in New Location, Features Furniture from East Coast Chair & Barstool

Kind Burgers was open just nine short weeks when Sandy rolled through Sea Bright, causing total devastation and destroying Cafaro's restaurant. Now, they re-open in a new location.

2013-06-19
MERCER, PA, June 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) "It was devastating; it was tough," describes Anthony Cafaro, owner of Kind Burgers, of October 2012's Hurricane Sandy. "We were without power for 14 days. We lost our family business, our livelihood."

Last summer, Anthony and his wife, Yvette, were working hard to open their family style restaurant in Sea Bright, New Jersey. After months of construction and permit-approvals, they opened Kind Burgers in August 2012, featuring both indoor and outdoor restaurant furniture purchased from East Coast Chair & Barstool in their cheerfully bright, modern decor.

"Our daughter has food allergies, and we had a difficult time finding a restaurant in our community to accommodate all of our family's preferences," explains Cafaro. "I have always had an affinity for burgers, so creating a family style restaurant that serves fresh gourmet burgers and gluten-free menu options made sense for us."

Kind Burgers was open just nine short weeks when Sandy rolled through Sea Bright, causing total devastation and destroying Cafaro's restaurant.

"As a husband-and-wife owned business, our hearts go out to the Cafaro family," says Janene DiSanti, co-owner of East Coast Chair & Barstool alongside her husband, Dave. "When we hear such powerful stories about our customers, it reminds us that we sell furniture to people, not just accounts, and each has their own story to tell. It's inspiring to know that some of our customers come to us with the same spirit and determination as Anthony."

The Cafaro family soon found a new location in Fair Haven, New Jersey, to rebuild Kind Burgers. Once again, they turned to East Coast Chair & Barstool for their restaurant furniture needs, and after months of hard work and preparation, on June 7, 2013, Kind Burgers celebrated their grand opening.

"It feels fantastic!" Cafaro exclaims. Almost a year after their first opening, Kind Burgers continues to promise a family style burgers, dogs, and fries joint with gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options. The National Foundation of Celiac Awareness even awarded Kind Burgers the seal of 'GREAT Kitchens Gluten-Free Training'.

This release has been submitted with Kind Burgers's permission by East Coast Chair & Barstool, a national e-commerce retailer of bar, restaurant, and hospitality furniture. With three ecommerce sites, an eBay store, and a growing social media presence, East Coast Chair & Barstool is proud to serve bar and restaurant owners, such as the Cafaro family.
