DALLAS, TX, June 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) That a Girl & Friends Speakers Agency and author Thelma Wells will hold a three-part conference series, entitled, WONDER WOMAN 3, this summer on July 27, Aug. 17 and Sep. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gospel For Asia headquarters in Carrollton, Texas about women from the Bible. The event is open to women of all ages and will also be available via the Internet to churches and individuals on simulcast.
"This conference is about challenging women of God to arise and live according to his promises," said author and speaker Bethany Williams. "We are women of valor with great inner strengths and able to influence communities for God. God has called each and every woman and designed them to be a woman of influence. He has given us His power to be His witness to our families, to our friends and to our communities."
The Wonder Woman theme highlights the truth that all women have the power to do great things. Each speaker will cover women from the Bible who may not have been Wonder Woman in the cartoon character sense, but were filled with the wonder of God and triumphed in many ways. The event will feature speakers Bethany Williams, Cindy Colangelo, Erin Kincaid, Rebecca Johnson, Sonja Samuel, Victorya Rogers, Thelma Wells, Gina Berry, Wendie Pett, Michelle Green Ford, Lezlee Liljenberg, and Tammy Kling. The conference will conclude at 1:30 p.m. followed by a networking and refreshments reception until 2:30 p.m.
Those who register have a chance to impact women all over the world. By registering, they are eligible to send in an original quote, 50 words or less, that may be included in Thelma Wells' new book POW-erful Quotes from Everyday Wonder Women to be published shortly after the conferences. In addition, if individuals sign up 10 or more people, they will receive a free massage gift certificate good at any Massage Envy location. BALAM Dance Theatre (BALAM), a New York City-based ensemble dance company, has been awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation, Ltd. The grant will be used to perform the company's signature work, Ramayana-Abduction of Sita, at the Summer Enrichment Program at Hunter-Tannersville Elementary School.
A workshop inspired by the Balinese Kecak (monkey chant) will also be presented to the students, who will perform with the company as diminutive fire sprits. BALAM will be in residency part of July 2013 in Hunter, New York.
