RALEIGH, NC, June 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) Royal Oaks Homes, LLC (http://www.royaloakshomes.com), an award-winning residential new homebuilder, has announced that it participated in the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County's Ninth Annual Battle of the Builders on June 11 at Renaissance Park in Raleigh. The HBA invited members and their families to attend this event as a way to bring HBA members and other local companies together and celebrate the area's building industry. Each building company competed in the beach volleyball tournament while friends and family enjoyed a block party with local food trucks, including The Humble Pig and Captain Poncho's, and live music from the Johnny Orr Band. Sponsors of the event included CPI Security, Stock Building Supply, New Homes and Ideas, Custom Home Exteriors, Movement Mortgage, Lighthouse Garage Doors, For Sale by Builder, Erie Insurance, Fonville Morisey & Barefoot, Parksite, HomeTeam, PHWS, Carolina Comfort Air, Inc. and LP.
Fourteen local builders including Royal Oaks competed in the casual beach volleyball tournament. Royal Oaks placed second in the event, losing by two points to Terramor Homes in the championship game. Charles O'Brien, purchasing coordinator at Royal Oaks, won the award for "Best Bump" for kicking the volleyball instead of hitting it with his hands.
