New Train-The-Trainer Workshops by The Competency Group
The Competency Group's train-the-trainer workshop will teach participants how to create effective training with the support of time-tested approaches and resources.

Interactive train-the-trainer workshops are now offered by The Competency Group in various Canadian cities and online. The train-the-trainer workshop will teach participants how to create effective training with the support of time-tested approaches and resources.The train-the-trainer workshop will show participants how to directly address the needs of adult learners, how to select the best training methods for the learning content, how to create a lesson plan, how to facilitate group learning, and how to evaluate the success of a training program. During the workshop, participants will have the chance to apply their newly-acquired skills under the direction of our training experts.
Bernadette Allen, founder and CEO of The Competency Group, develops and delivers our train-the-trainer workshops. Bernadette is an expert in adult education, training, and competency development with decades of practical experience. Bernadette has a Master of Adult Education degree from St. Francis Xavier University and holds certificates in DACUM Facilitation, Systematic Curriculum and Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Essential Skills, and Occupational Language Analysis.
The workshops will take place on the following dates:
• July 10 in Saint John, New Brunswick
• July 23-24 Online
• August 8 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
• August 13 in Halifax, Nova Scotia
• August 20-21 Online
• September 17 in Toronto, Ontario
Face-to-face workshops will run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; online workshops will run from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm EST each scheduled day. The standard registration fee is $495 per participant.
