Meet-and-Great with Ken Osen, W. Britain's General Manager and Creative Director

On Friday, June 28, 2013 at 6pm, For the Historian will host a meet-and-greet for Ken Osen, world-renowned master sculpture and W. Britain's General Manager and Creative Director.

GETTYSBURG, PA, June 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) Admirers of Ken's work will be able to hear about Ken's latest projects and get advice on their displays.

Ken has been involved in the toy soldier business and hobby for many years. Over the years, he has sculpted figures for the metal figure industry; overseen the production of plastic toy soldier figures; produced museum exhibits on a variety of subjects including the Mississippian Indians, Persian Archeology, the War of 1812, American Civil War, General Custer, and World War I; been a historical sound consultant for Hollywood; and has reenacted a variety of time periods ranging from the French and Indian War through World War II.

For over one hundred years, W. Britain has been making the finest model soldiers and the Civil War has been one of their most popular subjects. As Britain's master sculptor, Ken sculpted the American Civil War sets "Clear the Way" and "Lone Star", the first matte style figures ever produced by W. Britain.

"W. Britain figures are incredible - Ken's attention to detail - and the historical accuracy of his sculptures - has been instrumental in making the brand legendary," said Larry Weindorf, manager of For the Historian.

W. Britain was founded in 1893 and is currently headquartered in Peosta, Iowa.

For the Historian, a military history book and miniature store, recently opened in Gettysburg and will be celebrating their Grand Opening from June 28th through June 30th.
