Her son Dov, in his eulogy expressed the outstanding qualities of his mother and appealed to those who gathered in her honor to carry on her legacy of kindness and peace between one another. The Hikind Braun relationship goes back to 1982 when Dov Hikind First ran for the assembly & Rabbi Shlomo Braun was requested by the former Borough President Howard Golden to help and make sure that Dov Hikind gets elected to the assembly, and sure enough, he won with 260 votes due to Rabbi Braun's intervention.
On Sunday June 23, Rabbi Shlomo Braun paid a Shiva call to the Hikind Family where he met Professor Jeffrey Kraus, Assemblyman Allen Maisel; as well as Democratic Kings County Leader Frank Seddio; CB Manager Wolf Sender; Satmar Community leader Hirsch Glanzer; as well as many local constituents; and reminisced about the powerful message the assemblymen delivered while eulogizing his late Mom.
