RALEIGH, NC November 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) DocuSource of NC (www.docusourceofnc.com), a marketing services provider of printing and communication materials as well as Web portals for document storage and ordering, sponsored the Triangle Game Initiative's first annual charity golf tournament. The event was held on October 15 at Eagle's Ridge golf course in Raleigh. DocuSource provided all printed materials for the tournament, which benefited the Eastern North Carolina chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation .
"We are thankful for DocuSource's support of our inaugural charity tournament," said Troy Knight, Triangle Game Initiative serious games program director and managing director of design & gaming at Vaco. "The event could not have been successful without the generosity that area companies showed."
The charity tournament raised more than $1,000. The funds went to grant the wishes of two local children, Collin and CinSear. In addition, enough money was raised to allow the children to take studio tours at Epic Games and Insomniac Games.
"We were thrilled to partner with the Triangle Game Initiative in supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said Kathy Murchison, DocuSource president and CEO. "It was a fantastic event enjoyed by all, and it helped grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions."
DocuSource's sponsorship continued a long-standing commitment to community involvement. The company has supported more than 20 programs and organizations that improve the quality of life for Triangle residents. These include Be Active North Carolina, Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, Meals on Wheels, Summit House Raleigh, Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, the Women's Center of Wake County and the Raleigh and Durham Rescue Missions.
