Caller Lookup Application adaffix launches in Canada

Finally, more information about all your calls: incoming and outgoing, personal and business

2010-11-05
VIENNA, AUSTRIA November 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) The free mobile application adaffix (http://www.adaffix.com) announces its launch in the Canadian market today. adaffix enriches the call experience by adding relevant caller content in real-time. The application instantly suggests local alternatives if the user cannot reach a business on the phone. It also automatically displays the caller's name if they are not in the user's contacts list. To deliver this information adaffix accesses comprehensive Canadian business content using YellowAPI.com, the public API of Canada's Yellow Pages Group, a national local commercial search leader.

The first of two main adaffix application functions is Auto Suggest which makes it easier for a caller to get in touch with a business. For instance, a user calls the number of a plumber in Toronto but the company is unavailable, within seconds adaffix shows them additional contact information as well as details for three other plumbers nearby. Another call is initiated by simply pushing a button. The contact details of companies can be added easily to the contacts list on the mobile phone.

The other main function Caller Lookup identifies the number of incoming call not in the user's contacts list by matching it with business listings content accessed through YellowAPI.com. The name of the caller is displayed as the phone rings. When the user misses a call the name and time of the call are displayed. With one push of a button callback is easy and instant as is adding the caller's name and number to the phone contacts list. adaffix also provides enhanced caller information with dynamic Facebook content. Users can link adaffix with their Facebook account allowing them to see the up-to-date status and photo of Facebook friends when they call.

For the user's comfort, adaffix automatically runs in the background of the smartphone, only displaying content when appropriate. The user never has to act, only react.

"We are delighted to launch using Yellow Pages Group's API contents and bring more convenience to smart phone users in Canada", explains Claudia Poepperl, founder and CEO adaffix.
