LONDON, UK November 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) The award-winning Imagination building in central London will become a Viennese wonderland on 'Vienna Now or Never Night', using cutting-edge 3D projection technology.
The public is invited to watch the seven-minute short film projected onto 25 Store St South Crescent, WC1E 7BL (closest tube: Goodge St, Tottenham Court Road), which brings the old and new Vienna together in a jaw-dropping 3D light spectacular.
Reggie Yates, BBC Radio 1 presenter, DJ, photographer and Vienna ambassador, will also be there to greet the crowd during the first show on Monday night.
The Edwardian-era building will be digitally 'reskinned' and transformed into a living 3D film including elements of Viennese art, culture, music, food and architecture - evoking Vienna's thriving nightclub, unique art scene, classical music and landscapes, traditional coffee houses and Christmas markets.
The projection starts at 8pm and will be played on rotation until 10pm.
Reggie, who recently went to Vienna to experience the traditional and modern sides to Europe's most surprising city and played a DJ set at the Volksgarten Club Disco, said like many Londoners, Vienna was a city he had always wanted to visit but never had.
"People have an idea in their head of Vienna, and Now or Never Night aims to challenge people's perceptions and inspire them to visit," he said.
"After visiting Vienna, to me the city is not just about old museums, apple strudel and Lipizzaner horses, but also about the original Lomo photography society, quirky record stores, amazing food - chocolate chilli steak anyone? - and off-beat fashion."
Reggie, who visited courtesy of the Vienna Tourist Board, tweeted through his entire trip to Vienna at @regyates.
