TuneUp Offers a How-To for Getting Windows 7's Aero Peek Feature on Windows XP and Vista

2010-11-05
MIAMI, FL November 05, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Aero Peek feature allows Windows 7 users to hide all of their open windows and switch back to their desktops by simply swiping the mouse in the lower-right corner and clicking blindly. This is perfect for those times when PC users have emails or browser windows open that they do not want anyone else to see.

Since this feature is not available on Windows XP or Vista, users have to target the "Show Desktop" icon in order to minimize all of their visible windows. However, there is a way for XP and Vista users to experience the same comfort and speed Windows 7 users enjoy when minimizing windows. A free tool called WinShake allows users to replicate the Aero Peek feature of Windows 7. PC optimization specialist TuneUp provides detailed information on how to download and use this program.

Who: Any PC user with Windows XP or Vista, who is looking for a way to install the Aero Peek feature that Windows 7 offers. The tips are easily understood by anyone, regardless of their technical background.

Where: TuneUp provides a guide on how to download and install WinShake along with helpful screenshots at blog.tune-up.com. All of the information is free, and readers can post their own experiences directly on the blog to help their peers.

When: PC users can access the free tips anytime by visiting blog.tune-up.com or by interacting with TuneUp's PC tuning experts on Twitter and Facebook.
