NASHVILLE, TN, August 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) As the new school year rapidly approaches, Nashville comes together to support and encourage its youth as they look forward to a challenging year in academics. The Back 2 School Jam is scheduled to take place at Hadley Park Community Center, Saturday August 28, from 12noon to 6pm. The event, which is sponsored by 101.1 The Beat Jamz, Concrete Magazine, N'Somnic Eyez LLC., Preston Taylor Boys & Girls Club/YMCA Youth Development Center, and The PlayMakers Foundation, will provide Nashville and surrounding area local and under-privileged children with fun and games, book-bags filled with school supplies, health screenings, and free food.

A variety of Nashville based community businesses have come together to see that no child is turned away. Donations of products, services, and volunteers, have been sponsored by Walmart Corporation, Nothin But Wings., Hang Time Clothing, Key 2 Music, Legacy Ink, and Hollins Barbershop.
The event will begin at 12:00 pm in Hadley Park. A live remotes and event entertainment will be provided by 101.1 The Beat Jamz. Food will be served from 12noon to 4pm. Face painting, snow cones, Jumpy Gyms, and Volley ball will be set up around the park by local vendors. Upon entrance into the park, youth will receive book bags filled with supplies needed for school.
