NEW YORK, NY, November 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) The winners of Wix.com's "Wix & Tell" contest were announced earlier this month, marking the end to a wildly successful viral marketing campaign. Entrants were owners of various types of Wix websites, who recorded videos of themselves explaining what they love the most about their Wix sites. The entered videos were judged based on creativity, enthusiasm, style and overall presentation, as well as demonstrated use of the Wix website builder.
The Grand Prize of a new 13" MacBook was awarded to Colin Crane, who used Wix to make a website for his organization The Pulsera Project. The non-profit group sells bracelets made by children and artisan families in Nicaragua to schools in the States, and created a beautiful site to promote its cause, complete with a video showing the story behind the Pulsera Project itself. Sleek photo galleries, drop down menus and widgets enhance the functionality of Crane's Wix website, and contributed to his win.
Four 1st Prize winners received "Surprise Pro Packs". These packages included upgrades to Wix' Unlimited Premium package, which grants full domain ownership, eCommerce capability and other VIP features. These winners also received free Wix merchandise from the Wix Store, unveiled earlier this month. Pavena Lee, Wesley Bandemer, Couture Motion and the Fern Creek Tigers were the 1st Prize winners. Their submissions can be viewed in YouTube by searching for "Wix & Tell".
The video with the most views won a "WixPromote" package which included personalized SEO fixes to boost the online traffic of the user's website, and $500 toward Google AdWords. The prize went to Paul Vasquez, widely known on the web as the "Double Rainbow Guy". Vasquez used Wix to make a website for an online shop where fans can buy merchandise inspired by his YouTube hit.

Latest Mortgage Fraud Crisis May Help Homeowners Keep Their Homes
2010-11-10
The latest chapter of the mortgage crisis may actually help some homeowners facing foreclosure rather than hurt them. Recently, it has come to light that many of the nation's biggest lenders, including Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase and GMAC, have been using questionable documentation to foreclose on homes all across the country.
In some cases, the lenders have been instructing employees to sign thousands of foreclosure documents a day without proper witnesses and notaries. These so-called "robo-signers" are signing affidavits that say they have reviewed the loan ...
A Will: Why You Should Have One
2010-11-10

Most people know they should have a will, but they tend to put it off, especially if they are young. They may have been to very few funerals and not known many people who have died. They think wills and estate planning are for the future and they have plenty of time before they need to consider such ...
Proposal to Reform New York DWI Laws Would Do Harm
2010-11-10
"First, do no harm," counsels the Hippocratic oath. Good doctors still honor these words -- and so should legislators considering revisions to New York's drunk driving laws.
Brendan Tully, a Democrat who ran for a seat in the state assembly, proposed a fundamental change in New York DWI law. Specifically, the proposal is to amend the law so that drivers charged with DWI are no longer allowed to plead to a lesser charge that is at the level of a traffic infraction. Although Tully did not win a seat in the Assembly, the proposal he put forward could come up again. Its ...
