Speakman Company to Exhibit WaterSense Products at GreenBuild Expo (booth #1290)

Speakman Company will be showcasing their extensive line of eco-friendly plumbing products at the upcoming Greenbuild Expo, November 16-18, 2010 in Chicago, IL., booth (1290). Speakman Company has been the innovated leader of plumbing products for over 135 years.

Speakman Company is proud to announce its status as a 2010 WaterSense Partner for faucets. Twenty-three of Speakman's faucet families have been certified to meet the 1.5 gallon per minute or lower requirement set by the Environmental Protection Agency to meet WaterSense requirements. Speakman's WaterSense faucets are made of high quality brass and are also available in lead free brass meet the lead free requirements of California (CA AB 1953) and Vermont (Act 193).

Speakman's low flow, WaterSense certified faucets are not the only green products Speakman offers. In addition to WaterSense certified faucets, Speakman has eight low flow showerheads varying in flow rates from 2.0 down to 1.5 gallons per minute. Speakman's low flow showerheads not only help homeowners & facilities reduce their water consumption, but they also continue to provide legendary Speakman spray performance.
Speakman also offers two low flow shower valves. The Sentinel Mark II Balanced Pressure valve is certified to meet ASSE 1016 at 2.0 gallons per minute, providing protection from scalding when coupled with a low flow 2.0 gallon per minute showerhead. The new Speakman SentinelPro Thermostatic/Balanced Pressure valve is certified to meet ASSE 1016 at 1.5 gallons per minute. The SentinelPro provides protection from scalding when coupled with a showerhead down to 1.5 gallons per minute as well as protection against thermal shock when used with a low flow showerhead.

Another green innovation to be unveiled by Speakman for the first time at GreenBuild is Air2O, a two-stage Indirect/Direct Evaporative Cooler. The Air2O Cooler is an environmentally friendly way to cool residential & smaller commercial spaces in any hot, dry climate without the use of CFCs & recycled indoor air. Air2O uses up to 80% less energy compared to a traditional air conditioning unit while providing a constant supply of cool fresh air.
