Terry Maul Awarded Accolades from Florida Swimming Board of Directors and Florida Swimming Committee

TALLAHASSEE, FL, November 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) Terry Maul recently received recognition from the Florida Swimming Board of Directors and a lifetime membership to United States Swimming presented by the Florida Swimming Committee.

Terry Maul received recognition from the Florida Swimming Board of Directors, a major accomplishment, as Florida Swimming is one of 59 Local Swimming Committees that make up USA Swimming, the governing body for US Olympic Swimming. Terry Maul was also honored to receive a lifetime membership to United States Swimming, the governing body for the sport of swimming in the United States.

Terry Maul has a long history of success in the swimming arena. Terry served two years, 2005-2007, as Vice Chair and three years as General Chair, 2007-2010, of the Florida Swim Committee. Terry Maul is the Head Coach of the ( http://www.swimatac.com/ ) Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club, a position he has held for the past twelve years.

The honors recently received by Terry Maul add to the list of his growing list of career accomplishments. Terry Maul received the American Swim coaches Association level 5 certification, the highest level, for both USS club and NCAA. In 2003, Terry Maul was voted the Florida Association Senior coach of the year. Terry Maul served as head coach to the USA National Junior Team in Montreal, Canada in 1992 and as head coach of USA National team in Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 1984. Terry Maul began his coaching career in Tallahasssee in 1975 as co-coach of the ( http://www.swimatac.com/ ) Tallahassee Swim Team with Gerry Norris, who is the current head age group coach of the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club.

Terry Maul has been coaching for over 40 years and directs all phases of the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Program and is the on-deck coach for the ATAC senior program. Coach Terry Maul has produced numerous National Qualifiers, State Champions and members of US National Teams. Recently, seven age group members of Area Tallahassee Aquatic Program finished in the top 20, nationally, in various events. In addition to coaching responsibilities, Terry Maul directs the Tallahassee Swim School, a learn-to-swim program for all ages.
