Dipstickit to Big Oil For Fun & Profit
2010-11-12
RANCHO MIRAGE, CA, November 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) Big Oil guys. They're slick.

They'll do just about anything to make citizens think that humanity is their prime concern.

Hogwash.

Why do oil companies advertise? Advertising is something you do when you have a surplus of inventory to sell. There's no surplus of gas or oil. So what's the real motivation behind the Shell, Exxon, Chevron ad campaigns?

These dollars are meant to buy more than good will and happy-faced hogwash.

The USA may be the land of free speech, but oil companies count on their big dollars to exert editorial clout.

So when something or someone comes along to shake up oil's self-censorship, you can be damn sure you won't be reading about it in the mainstream media. Oil at $80+ a barrel can buy a lot of editorial clamming-up.

Beat Big Oil at their own game.

Stan Cotton, founder of FOIL the Foreign Oil Independence League has come up with a way for citizens to beat Big oil at their own game. Its a citizens-owned for-profit counter-advertising campaign that Big oil and corrupt politicians cannot avoid dealing with.

The "Dipstickit to Big Oil" ad campaign will spotlight the dilemma America finds itself in.

Its purpose is to point out our political failures caused by Big oil that would otherwise go unpublicized.

The Dipstickit campaign puts Big Oil's slick greed into perspective; shake up the oil cartels, make a fuss and exposes politicians who owe their bread, butter and souls to the buyers and sellers of foreign petroleum.

This publicly financed campaign allows the investors to actually earn a profit for their participation and investment. Why not profit in the fight-back Big oil campaign and learn how not to just live your life in a pricey energy vacuum, oblivious to things like sky rocketing oil prices, terrorist threats and a blood-for-oil war that's becoming more and more unpopular.

The results of the campaign can be huge. The campaign includes the use of media of all kinds. Educational material starting with coloring books for kids in grades 1-4. Sunday comic strips, animated cartoons, videos, billboards, ads and celebrity challenges to get involved.

The Foreign Oil Independence League -FOIL was developed in the wake of 9/11/01 by an angry American who envisioned an organization of Americans eager to turn America from an oil importer to an oil exporter through a mix of strategies. This includes a full blown advertising campaign for citizens to beat Big Oil at their own game that average American can invest in and profit by.
