The appointment of Mr Ali is a next step in ScienceSoft's business expansion in Northern Europe, which will also strengthen the existing relationships with customers in the region. Mr. Ali's extensive knowledge and experience at a number of top executive positions will be instrumental in carrying out ScienceSoft business strategy in the region.

Akif Ali has over 20 years experience in executive management positions in the IT/ICT and health services sectors and has contributed to several international business ventures. During his career at a Finnish subsidiary of Scitex Corporation he brought a new generation of graphic arts systems to the global marketplace. While director at Kronodoc Oy, a document management company, he drove the market entry of pioneering web based document management to the Nordic countries. As a managing director of Arcus Software he brought innovative 3D map technology to Japan as well as helped in implementing one of the first smart text messaging services for mobile users in Finland. Before joining ScienceSoft Akif Ali was a director at Finnish Red Cross Blood Service in 2005-2010. There, he was in charge of IT, finance and advanced therapies. Akif Ali has studied computer science at Helsinki Univeristy of Technology.
