NEWARK, NJ, February 20, 2014 (Press-News.org) Joseph David Roofing announced the completion of a roof replacement project in Hillsborough, NJ. The roof of Hercules Enterprises had been severely damaged last year by Superstorm Sandy. Not only did portions of the roof blow off the building, but the steel decking was compromised by the high winds. All decking was replaced with new. The company then came in and installed a layer of 1" PolyIsocyanurate R-value 6.0. Over the PolyIso, they installed a layer of ¼" Securock coverboard and a Versico 60mil fully adhered TPO white membrane roof system. White roofing systems have become increasingly popular over the past several years because they are energy efficient and lower heating and cooling costs.

There are many advantages to using the combination of PolyIso and Securock as insulation. The Securock is an exceptionally strong board with enhanced bond strength that has superior protection against wind-uplift. The board is also moisture and mold resistant, which prevents future problems as the roof ages. The Securock is also a sustainable material; it is made from 97% recycled materials. The new roof system came with a 15 year Manufacturer's Warranty.
