CLEARWATER, FL, February 23, 2014 (Press-News.org) Current of Tampa Bay and volunteers from Reality Church of Tampa are spending this Saturday, Feb. 22, washing the clothes of Clearwater families in need.
"We are determined to reach as many struggling families in the Bay area as possible," said Jason Sowell, Current's Founder and President. "We are extremely grateful for the support from community members who help make this happen and will continue to grow our Clearwater project locations in the future."
The project will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fresh Start Coin Laundry, located at 2922 Roosevelt Blvd., in Clearwater.
The Laundry Project allows volunteers the opportunity to give back to the community and to help those in need clean their clothes, a simple, yet often unnoticed common necessity. This is the third project Current of Tampa Bay, Inc. has held in the Clearwater area at the Roosevelt Boulevard location.
Current always welcomes donations of quarters (rolls of $10), coloring books, crayons, laundry baskets and bags, bleach, fabric softener and liquid laundry detergent. Donations can be brought to Saturday's event, or by contacting Jason Sowell by phone: 727-537-9082 or by email: Jason@EngageTheCurrent.org.
