TUCSON, AZ, February 28, 2014 (Press-News.org) The Health Ranger is the founder of Natural News. He has been the editor of Natural News for over ten years. The Health Ranger uses the website to investigate the health benefits and risks of various new food and medicinal technologies. The Ranger, along with other dedicated journalists, publishes his findings on his website in order to give consumers the opportunity to make informed health choices.
Recently, the federal government has been passing laws on a parent's ability to make decisions on the medical care that is received by their children. These controversial laws include the subject of vaccination. Many children are required to submit to a long list of vaccinations before being admitted to school. The problem is that vaccinations have potential health risks. Vaccinations can weaken the immune system. In children this can cause a developing immune system to rely on vaccines rather than to build itself up on its own. The government has also been forcing children with cancer to undergo chemotherapy.
Chemotherapy can be an incredibly harmful process, doing more bad than good for the child. There are many new natural alternatives to chemotherapy, options that offer more healthy approaches to fighting cancer. However, in the eyes of the legal system, the choice to not use chemotherapy is often considered child neglect. The Health Ranger believes that parents should have control over what goes into their children's bodies, and should have the choice to go through healthier alternatives.
The Health Ranger and Natural News have also been lobbying for the labeling of GMOs, or genetically modified organisms. GMOs have already been linked to cancer and skin disease, and are a largely unknown quantity. There have been no studies on what GMOs can do to the body over long-term consumption, and it is becoming a wide concern that GMOs can lead to greater health risks down the line. Genetically modified food can often look just like its unmodified counterpart. It is for this reason that many believed that GMOs should be labeled, allowing consumers to understand exactly what they are buying and putting into their bodies. Since there is no legislation demanding the labeling of GMOs, Natural News has been lobbying individual stores to label GMOs on their own. Whole Foods has already promised to label all their genetically modified foods by 2018.
The Health Ranger has also discovered, through the use of his Forensics Food Lab, that many foods claiming to contain blueberries actually use food coloring and sweeteners to imitate the fruit. He asks all consumer to look at the ingredients of the foods they buy in order to be aware of artificial coloring, which often indicates that a product is pretending to have more health value than it actually does. In this way the consumer can make a more informed decision.
About: Natural News was launched in 2003 and has since become the most trafficked health new website on the internet. The site's founder is Mike Adams, known as the Health Ranger. Natural News recently debuted the Natural News Store as a source of organic foods, nutritional supplements, and super-foods.
