StraighterLine (www.straighterline.com) announced today that Thomas Edison State College (www.tesc.edu) has joined StraighterLine's partner college network. StraighterLine partner colleges are regionally accredited institutions that award post-secondary credit upon transfer for successfully completing its online college courses. Thomas Edison State College is one of New Jersey's 12 senior public institutions of higher education offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in more than 100 areas of study.
Through this partnership, students who successfully complete StraighterLine courses may transfer their courses for full credit when they enroll in one of Thomas Edison State College's degree programs and can use these transfer credits toward the completion of their bachelor's degree.
Students can take freshman and introductory-level classes through StraighterLine and save thousands of dollars earning their college degree. With StraighterLine, students pay only $99 per month plus $39 per course started and can move as quickly or slowly through the material as they like.
StraighterLine courses have been evaluated and recommended by the American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) and have met or exceeded the Distance Education and Training Council's standards for online course quality.
Currently, StraighterLine offers 15 entry-level college courses online, including College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, Business Writing, Introduction to Biology for nonmajors, Introduction to Biology for nonmajors with a lab, General Chemistry 1, General Chemistry 1 with a lab, English Comp I, English Comp II, Accounting I, Accounting II, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Business Statistics and two developmental courses, with more to be offered soon.
