The baby safety guide is comprised of baby products made by eco-savvy companies with the safest materials possible. The products chosen were based on certain categories as well as criteria. The categories include the use of non-toxic materials, safety, innovation, quality, functionality and style. Moog, who is also the co-author of Itsabelly's Guide to Going Green with Baby, founded Itsabelly in 2006. Moog states "I have written this guide with the hope of helping parents choose the healthiest baby and pregnancy products possible bringing more awareness to a less toxic lifestyle . I also hope to see more juvenile product companies pay closer attention to what chemicals and materials are used in their manufacturing processes so that they're reducing the use of toxins in our environment."
