SXSW Presenter Mark Layton Discusses Overtime, Defects, Project Slippage

Layton, the company's founder and CEO, will be a featured presenter at the 2014 South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive conference. His presentation will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Mr. Layton's presentation, titled "Racing in Reverse: The Quantitative Relationship Between Overtime, Defects and Project Slippage," discusses the downsides of overtime as it relates to productivity, ways to accelerate projects, and using agile techniques to close the gap between defect introduction and defect identification. There will be many relevant applications to the process of game development.

Mark C. Layton, known globally as Mr. Agile , is an organizational strategist and PMI certification instructor with over 20 years in the project/program management field. He is the founder of Platinum Edge, Inc.--an organizational improvement company that supports businesses making the Waterfall-to-Agile transition. Mark holds MBAs from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the National University of Singapore; a B.Sc.
