2014-03-12
NAPLES, FL, March 12, 2014 (Press-News.org) Richard A. Counts is pleased to announce that he will continue his support of his favorite charities for the foreseeable future. Many charities in the US have been dealing with a reduction in donations and support as the economy contracted over the past few years. However, they have been able to keep up their operations thanks to lifelong donors like Richard A. Counts. The donation and support from people like Richard A. Counts have proven vital for charities around the country to stay in operation despite the slowdown in consumer spending and the economy.

Richard A. Counts focuses his support on four charities which he believes in wholeheartedly. Richard A. Counts supports the Wounded Warriors program, the American Cancer Society, the American Asthma Foundation and the MS Society. Ever since he began his career in energy law, Richard A. Counts has found time or finances to devote to these charities so that they can continue to do their amazing work around the country. Richard A. Counts knows that his contributions will go far with these organizations.

The Wounded Warrior Project was formed shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Their motto is "The greatest casualty is being forgotten," which reflects the suffering and challenges many wounded soldiers and service members face after being wounded and returning to the US. Richard A. Counts has nothing but the utmost respect for soldiers and supports the Wounded Warrior Project because they provide various programs and services for wounded soldiers. These programs support them financially and emotionally as they adjust to their new lives. Richard A. Counts' South Hunt Creek Ranch provides a great setting for "Wounded Warriors". The Ranch is surrounded by the 1.2 million acre Routt County National Forest as well as the Flat Tops Wilderness Area. According to Richard A. Counts, "we have a very nurturing environment. South Hunt Creek has trout fishing, abundant wildlife and solitude. My family and I very much enjoy sharing South Hunt Creek Ranch." According to Richard A. Counts, the acquisition of South Hunt Creek ranch was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream for him.

The American Cancer Society is an organization formed in 1913 to fight and eventually eliminate cancer. Richard A Counts supports the American Cancer Society because they devote a great deal of their efforts to research to fight cancer as well as devoting resources to support those suffering from the horrible disease. Currently there are over 900 offices in the US.

The American Asthma Foundation is an organization founded to provide support and consulting for asthma sufferers. Richard A. Counts himself, suffered from chronic asthma beginning at the age of 2. Doctors told his parents on several occasions that he was not expected to live. "I know what it is like to not know where your next breath is coming from or, if". Richard A. Counts is committed to support the American Asthma Foundation for the remainder of his life.

The final charity that Richard A Counts supports is the MS Society. The MS Society was founded in 1946 to help educate, find a cure for, and support those with Multiple Sclerosis. Richard A Counts supports the MS Society because, much like the American Cancer Society, they devote many of their resources to research for the ultimate goal of curing MS. According to Richard A. Counts, a very good friend of mine has a daughter who suffers from MS and I have seen first-hand how debilitating it can be. Until a cure is found, Richard A Counts is happy to know that the MS Society supports many programs which support those suffering from the ailment.

About: Richard A Counts has had a 30-year career working in the oil and gas industry both as an attorney and as an investor. He loves his work and lives in two locations: Naples, Florida and on his ranch near Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
