Bookkeeping Firm Has Record-Breaking Year in 2013 With Sterling Consulting Program

Sage Bookkeeping Reaches New Levels of Productivity and Profits

2014-03-12
GLENDALE, CA, March 12, 2014 (Press-News.org) Carolyn Lister, owner and founder of Sage Bookkeeping of Hailey, ID, announced today that her firm achieved record-breaking levels of monthly production and profitability in 2013 as the result of customized consulting and training from Sterling, a practice management company in Glendale, CA.

"Although I had held key positions in large companies in the past," says Carolyn, "I had never run a company before. I felt out of my league. The biggest problem was I didn't know how to find and keep good employees. Bookkeeping requires a high level of skill and focus. I was fooled into hiring applicants who interviewed well but were incompetent or had emotional problems which affected their performance."

Carolyn heard about Sterling from a successful colleague who was a client of the firm. Interested in learning how to better manage her company, Carolyn, too, became a client. "I gained insight into how to organize and what I needed to do to help the company grow and be successful," she says. "With Sterling's hiring and testing procedures, I was able to distinguish high-quality job applicants from the rest. It made all the difference."

In addition to reaching highest-ever levels of production and profitability in 2013, growth spurred Carolyn to move her firm into new quarters, doubling her previous square footage and integrating into the city's core. Carolyn was honored when the City of Hailey selected her firm to be one of twenty thriving businesses to be showcased on the city's official website.

"Sterling showed me how to organize my practice, hire and manage good staff and interact with clients," continues Carolyn. "I value the adaptability of their program. If I have a plan for a certain aspect of the business and something unexpected arises, I can't just maintain a set course. I have to respond. No matter what comes up, my consultant is always able to change gears and find the right solution."

Amid the first quarter of 2014, Sage Bookkeeping has already surpassed its record-breaking monthly production figures of 2013.
