EZ-ON Label Application Kit from Graphic Products improves label appearance and strength

The EZ-ON Label Application Kit eliminates the stress of applying labels and signs perfectly the first time, providing workers with a margin for error during initial application on various surfaces.

2010-11-14
BEAVERTON, OR, November 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) The EZ-ON Label Application Kit, a new labeling tool to facilitate clean and professional label application with DuraLabel supplies, is now available from safety labeling solutions provider Graphic Products, Inc.

DuraLabel brand industrial printers and labeling supplies are known in the industrial world for their high-quality designing and printing capabilities. Now, with the introduction of the EZ-ON Label Application Kit, they have a product kit solely for the purpose of assisting customers with large label and sign application.

"When applying labels with permanent, pressure-sensitive adhesive, it can be nerve-racking trying to lay down a label correctly the first time due to air bubbles and wrinkling," said Alex Gabriel, marketing representative for Graphic Products. "And once a DuraLabel label is first applied, it's stuck. This is great if it's applied perfectly without issues; but, if not, EZ-ON gives you a second chance."
The EZ-ON Label Application Kit consists of a proprietary, spray-bottled "wetting" solution and a hard plastic squeegee.

EZ-ON Solution is sprayed on surfaces prior to application. EZ-ON Solution prevents the label adhesive from immediately setting to the application surface by forming a "wet barrier" between the label adhesive and the application surface, providing ample time to position and adjust the label before the adhesive sets.

"Wetting with EZ-ON Solution allows you to re-adjust the labels against the surface without creating wrinkles or bubbles under the vinyl," said Gabriel. "This method is especially effective for larger labels where dry application is increasingly difficult."

Once the label is properly positioned and level, use of the EZ-ON Squeegee removes the EZ-ON barrier and allows the adhesive to fully apply to the surface.

In addition to smoothing out labels wetted with solution, The EZ-ON Squeegee also improves the dry application of labels, particularly on irregular or non-flat surfaces. Labels can be pulled and stretched to conform to the curves and shifts in a surface, and the EZ-ON Squeegee can be used to flatten the label against that surface. The squeegee method is useful because smoothing labels out with hands only may trap air underneath and ultimately cause the label to fail.

EZ-ON Solution is a neutral compound, non-reactive to DuraLabel's acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives. It does not leave any residue on the application surface and wipes clean after the labeling task is complete. The EZ-ON kit includes 32 ounces of EZ-ON Solution. The EZ-ON Squeegee is made of durable plastic and comes in 4-inch and 6-inch length sizes.

Previously, applying labels free of air bubbles and wrinkles required considerable skill and precision. Now, the EZ-ON Label Application Kit gives the novice label applier professional results without too much effort, explained Gabriel.
