COLUMBUS, OH, March 13, 2014 (Press-News.org) The Spot Athletics is proud to announce that Vitor Oliveira has won the Houston Open Jiu Jitsu Tournament. Since starting his training at The Spot Athletics he has surpassed his previous ranking and has moved to #7 in the world for all black belts, regardless of weight class. Vitor's other recent accomplishments include winning Gold at the Abu Dhabi Trials, American National Championships, San Francisco Open, and New York Open, among many others. Vitor is the Jiu Jitsu coach at Ronin Training Center in Columbus and is a member of the Grappling Fight Team, based in Brazil.
The Spot Athletics owner J.L. Holdsworth states that "Vitor Oliveira is one of the hardest working athletes I've ever had the privilege of working with. Since coming to The Spot Athletics he has transformed physically into one of the most dominating Jiu Jitsu athletes in the world. We have garnered an international following due to the success Vitor has had in his time training with us and that has been fun to watch happen."
Vitor moved to Columbus from Brazil to teach Jiu Jitsu and sought out The Spot Athletics to help him improve his physical conditioning and strength. The lack of quality training facilities in Brazil and around the country gives Vitor a huge advantage when facing other highly skilled Jiu Jitsu opponents. His dominating physical style is taking the Jiu Jitsu world by storm and he is poised for an even better year than last at international competitions. This recent win at the Houston Open showed just how dominating he has become.
