Local Entrepreneur "Travels" to Red Carpet Event via Butterfly Wings

LIVERPOOL, PA, March 14, 2014 (Press-News.org) Moonstone Creations' owner, Tessa Shaffer, won't be attending the event herself, but her handmade butterfly jewelry will. Three point eight million viewers tuned in last year to watch the MTV Movie Awards that starts with red carpet interviews, and this year Moonstone Creations' Butterfly Wing Rings will participate in an invitation-only luxury celebrity gift lounge hosted by GBK Productions on April 11-12, 2014 at an exclusive location in Beverly Hills, California. Her butterfly wing rings will be gifted to select members of the press and media at The Artisan Group's exhibit. This event will be attended by nearly fifty media outlets.

The unique rings are created using real butterfly wings recycled from Butterfly Farms from around the world. Shaffer describes her business as "inspirational jewelry for all of life's 'new beginnings," featuring handmade gifts for all occasions and for Wedding Parties, New Moms, Graduates & Teachers, Military Wives, Cancer & Autism Awareness, Sympathy and Memorial, and jewelry incorporating nature such as gemstones, flowers, as well as butterfly wings.

Shaffer pairs her butterfly creations with a jewelry card featuring a full picture of the butterfly used in the piece and a note about the transformation of the caterpillar. On the top of the jewelry card appears this quote:
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.

Shaffer adds, "it's such a powerful quote for any time of life; whether it be an exciting time like graduation or a new job, or something heart wrenching like the loss of a loved one, we are always going through a transformation of some kind and I think it's important to remember the lesson of the butterfly in both joy and sadness. If we have faith in ourselves, accept the changes, and keep going, we will find the beauty in our new beginning."

This self-taught jeweler is now spreading her wings of inspiration to Hollywood, an opportunity provided by the Artisan Group which Shaffer joined in 2013.
