TEDxGeorgeMasonU has showcased Mason Professors on the international TED stage since 2012. Presenters give short, 18 minute, TED-style talks about their research, creative ideas, and stories. These events hope to spread awareness of the great work happening at George Mason University, as well as bring in the community and allow students & faculty to interact with their local area's movers & shakers. Tickets for TEDxGeorgeMasonU 2014 are on sale NOW. Ticket prices are $20 for Adults, $15 for Students. A sandwich lunch is included in the ticket price. The student discount is available to all high school and college students with a valid ID, one discount per ID*. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Hylton Performing Arts Center (hyltoncenter.org, Manassas VA) or the Center for the Arts (cfa.gmu.edu, Fairfax VA). The event will be hosted on April 12th 2014 from 10:15am to 4:00pm. The venue will be the 250 seat Gregory Family Theater at the Hytlon Performing Arts Center: 10960 George Mason Circle, Manassas, VA 20110. The event will be broken up by a catered lunch, as well as several breaks. Audience members may come and go during these breaks. Audience members are encouraged to engage in discussions during the breaks.
