SINGAPORE, March 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) Following increased demand for its services across Asia, business improvement consultancy, Oliver Wight, has announced its latest Singapore education academy, and the appointment of a new Singapore-based consultant.
Don Harding joins the business improvement specialists from leading health care company, Mölnlycke, where he held the position of Supply Chain Director APAC. Part of a wider Oliver Wight Asia Pacific expansion, Don is the second new consultant to join the firm this year, following the appointment of Australia-based Rod Hozack in January.
"The Oliver Wight offering is becoming increasingly popular with companies in Asia," explains Oliver Wight Managing Partner, Mike Reed. "Economic growth across the Asia Pacific region, in particular in Singapore and South East Asia has led to a renewed focus on business excellence. Asian companies recognise opportunity exists to become globally competitive if they can step up and be consistently excellent. We're catering for this increased interest by expanding our team and Don is a great addition."
Kicking off the expansion, Oliver Wight is hosting a two-week education academy in Singapore between 9th and 20th June 2014. Courses are designed to introduce attendees to the very latest in management thinking on:
• Integrated Business Planning (advanced S&OP) in Practice
• Managing Demand
• Supply Planning
• Product and Portfolio Optimisation
The academy is open to all organisations in the Asia Pacific region and delegates can attend any or all of the courses. There are discounted rates for delegates booking more than one course, and for organisations, which book multiple delegate places.
Due to the expected level of demand, Oliver Wight is asking delegates to register before 16th May 2014.
About Oliver Wight
Oliver Wight has a 40 year track record of delivering business improvement to some of the world's best-known organisations. With a team of professionals offering a wealth of experience, Oliver Wight is the largest consultancy of its type, with offices throughout Europe, South Africa, North and South America, and the Asia Pacific region. We believe that sustainable business improvement can't be delivered by external consultants but only by our clients' own people, so unlike other consultancy firms, we transfer our knowledge to them, helping deliver performance levels and financial results that last.
Integrated Business Planning
At the leading edge of management thinking and practice, our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) model lies at the heart of our clients' journey to outstanding business performance. Oliver Wight are the originators of sales and operations planning (S&OP) and IBP can most simply be described as advanced S&OP. However, unlike S&OP, IBP brings a truly strategic perspective, integrating diverse processes - in the extended supply chain, product and customer portfolios, customer demand and strategic planning - into one seamless management process.
Supply Chain Optimisation
In an uncertain business climate, volatile demand and unpredictability can expose weaknesses in supply chain performance. Supply Chain Optimisation helps companies improve sub-standard systems and processes, delivering a significant return to the bottom line.
Meeting the Class A Standard
The Oliver Wight Class A Checklist is the longest standing and most successful business assessment tool. The latest, Sixth Edition, raises the bar, and sets ever more demanding standards for companies on their journey to business excellence and the Oliver Wight Class A standard.
