Major NYC Mud Run Comes Back to Bring New Yorkers Together in Support of Family Equality

2014-03-20
NEW YORK, NY, March 20, 2014 (Press-News.org) Out-Fit Challenge, (http://out-fitchallenge.com), following last year's successful debut has announced today that they will once again be bringing their 5K cross-country trail Mud Run to New York this summer as part of the official line up of events during NYC Pride. This year's events will take place on June 21st 2014 at their original stomping grounds at Tuxedo Ridge, 581 Route 17A West, New York, New York 10987 at 10am. This mass regional sporting event has grown to be a state to state national event open to all supporters of the LGBT community to bring awareness to Family Equality Council, and the Ali Forney Center. Out-Fit Challenge's mission is to create a competitive experience that people will love while also giving everyone an opportunity to feel a sense of community through a fun challenge. Tickets to participate in the event are $55 per person with group discounts provided. Registrants can sign up to participate at http://goo.gl/gYBHgC.

"Last year was so successful, so we were thrilled to be able to bring Out-Fit Challenge back to Tuxedo Ridge Park this year," begins Founder and CEO of Out-Fit Challenge, Tory Fitzgerald. "I created this organization in the hope that it could bring together people from opposite ends of the spectrum for one cause, and Out-Fit Challenge has definitely accomplished this. It has grown to extraordinary levels of participation, and we can't wait to see the turn out here in New York once again."

Out-Fit Challenge previously hit Miami and New York with an astounding mount of success in 2013. The sport event features over 15 military style obstacles that include various elements such as mud, water, and ice throughout the course including the "Vagitarian," "Is that Mud in Your Pants," and "Hello Sailor". To celebrate the victory of finishing the course, there will be an after party at the finish line that will be hosted by local drag queens with varied selection of danced beat by local DJs, as well as a wide selection of delicious food and drinks. Apart from putting on race events, the organization aims to aid national and local charities that are making a significant difference in the lives of LGBT individuals across the US. LGBT Charities that the event supports includes Family Equality Council, Care Resource of Miami, and for New York City the charity of choice is the Ali Forney Center.

"There is no doubt in my mind that our New York event will bring continued success to Out-Fit Challenge," continues founder and CEO of Out-Fit Challenge, Tory Fitzgerald. "The people who support this organization and these events are the ones who are at the forefront of change in the community. All we hope is that through these events, we can bring together the community to help those who desire to be a part of it."
