He is the former chief judge of Florida's 11th Judicial Circuit and the former administrative judge of the family division. A Florida Bar board certified civil trial lawyer, Brown practices personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability. He also focuses his practice on family law matters, with an emphasis on divorce, multi-state and international jurisdictional issues and the financial aspects of marriage and business valuations. Prior to joining the law firm, Brown practiced as a civil trial attorney for 19 years until 1990, when he was appointed to the Miami-Dade County Court. Brown went on to serve as the Administrative Judge of the family division from 2001 to 2009 and Chief Judge of the 11th Circuit in Miami-Dade County from 2009 to 2013.
Using his experience on the bench and his time in the family division, Brown will expand his family law practice as a court-appointed mediator.
