Mrs. Potter has 30 years of professional experience, with 13 years as a managing consultant of DRT Network Pty Ltd. Over the years, she has established herself as an expert in project management, as well as workforce solutions, tender development, research and reports, quality assurance and policy advocacy. On a daily basis, she is responsible for establishing project management frameworks using online technology and developing pathways with industry partners.
Additionally, she advises and completes market research for international clients. Mrs. Potter feels that the proudest achievement in her career was piloting and developing the school-based apprenticeship and traineeship program in Australia. This initiative has now been operating for more than 15 years and is recognized as a major pathway to employment for young people.
Looking back, Mrs. Potter attributes her success to her desire to help others develop their abilities. A particular individual strength is her ability to see through the maze of information and regulation within an industry sector. This assists Mrs. Potter to develop clearly structured processes within a quality assurance framework and under a continual improvement system. She is passionate about the future development of workplace learning as a more recognized form of learning.
Ms. Potter received a master's degree in education, professional development and training at Deakin University, having previously completed a Bachelor of Education at the Queensland University of Technology. In addition to her degrees, she is certified in applied project management through the Australian Management Institute. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with Australian Olympian Alumni, the GLG Research Council and Women on Boards. In years to come, Mrs. Potter intends to network and travel for work.
