Houston Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Heather Fleschler Now Offering K7

Houston, Texas cosmetic dentist Dr. Heather Fleschler is now helping diagnose patients who suffer from headaches and TMJ with K7

2014-04-11
HOUSTON, TX, April 11, 2014 (Press-News.org) Houston dentist, Dr. Heather Fleschler is proud to announce her office is now offering K7 Neuromuscular Evaluation System. Dr. Fleschler is the founder of Heather F. Fleschler D.D.S located in Houston Texas.
K7 creates a computerized TMJ analysis, but does not diagnose TMJ. Dr. Fleschler uses K7, along with other relevant information to help determine the patient's TMJ treatment plan. The K7 data is then used to arrive at the appropriate treatment to relieve your painful TMJ symptoms and restore a properly aligned bite.

"Most people don't think to see their dentist about any of the above symptoms," said Houston TMJ dentist Dr. Fleschler. "With the information gathered using K7, along with medical history, x-rays, and a neuromuscular examination we can determine whether patients are suffering from TMJ. We are excited to start helping people with this state of the art technology."

Dr. Flescher continued saying a dentist without neuromuscular training most likely would not have the answers, but a neuromuscular dentist would be able to recognize TMD and evaluate/treat accordingly, perform a detailed TMJ evaluation, K7 work up and evaluate if treatment is indicated.

K7 monitors mandibular movement in 3D, measuring mandibular velocity during opening and closing (jaw tracking/mandibular movement analysis), and obtaining electromyographic data (EMG analysis) from muscle groups. The information produced by K7 will help Dr. Flescher find the most relaxed, physiologic position for the jaw and aids in determining the most comfortable bite position for her patients.

Patients often experience several symptoms without knowing they are suffering from TMJ. Symptoms that most people do not think to see a dentist for include:

- Migraines
- Headaches
- Neck pain
- Back pain
- Tinnitus/ringing sound in the ears
- Paresthesia/numbness of arms/hands
- Dizziness/vertigo
- Pain behind or around the eyes

Houston TMJ dentist, Dr. Fleschler is an active member of several prestigious dental organizations, including the Greater Houston Dental Society, American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry (Fellowship), Texas Dental Association and Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI).
