One of the main components in every home is the electrical service panel, which people sometimes know as the fuse box or circuit breaker.

The electrical service panel enables you to quickly and easily turn off the electricity to various parts of your home. It also breaks up the electrical current entering your home so that it can more easily be distributed to those various parts of the home. Depending on the size of your home, your panel may have somewhere around 20 to 30 circuit breakers, each controlling a room or region of your home.

If that occurs, you simply need to open the panel and switch the breaker back to "on."
